Abstract
الملخص في هذا الموضوع حاولنا التطرق إلى أهمّ العوامل الّتي أدّت إلى تزايد أهميّة البحر الأبيض المتوسّط خلال الربع الأخير من القرن الثامن عشر و بداية القرن التاسع عشر في العلاقات الأوروبية العثمانية . أيضا تمت مناقشة وتحليل الصراع الدولي بالمتوسّط خلال الحملة الفرنسيّة على مصر و دور أوجاق الغرب وحركة القرصنة بإعتبارهم ورقة ضغط بيد الباب العالي, دورهم في التحوّلات السياسية التي عرفها المتوسط و أيضا أوروبا .

Abstract
The international conflict in the Mediterranean during Napoleon's campaign in Egypt and the role of the West Auajjaq is discussed and analyzed. The following consequences are also discussed the importance of the uprising in the Mediterranean during the last quarter of the eighteenth century. The changes in the international relations during that period including their effects on relations between the Sublime Porte and the greater European powers, as well as between the European power themselves. And also the effective roles played by pirates and governments of West Auajjaq in utilizing their strategic Mediterranean position as a pressure card by the Sublime Port in their foreign relations.
