Abstract

Modernleşme sürecinin gelişmişlik ve kalkınmışlıkla sonuçlanması onu Batı dışı toplumlar için bir model haline getirmiştir. Osmanlının Batı’yı model olarak alması da Batı tarzı bir eğitim anlayışının benimsenmesine ve yerleşmesine neden olmuştur. Bu makalede Osmanlının modernleşme sürecinde ve Cumhuriyet döneminde eğitimin yeri ve rolünü tartışmaktadır.

The result of the development process of modernization and development has made it into a model for non-Western societies. The Ottoman model of the West and, the adoption of Western-style education and understanding is settled. This study discusses the place and role of education in the Ottoman modernization process.
