Abstract
Türklerin dini tarihleri içerisinde “gök kültü” bir aşkını, ebe-diliği, sonsuzluğu, azameti ve Tengri'nin makamını teşkil etmesi ne-deniyle kutsal kabul edilmiştir. Geleneksel Türk inancında gökyüzü-nün kutsal kabul edilmesinin en büyük nedeni, göğün en üst katının Tanrı'nın makamı olması ve kötülüklerin anası kabul edilen karanlığı kovan güneş, ay ve yıldızların onun çadırı altında bulunmasıdır. Öyle ki Türkler Gök Tanrı'yı “Göğün Ruhu” şeklinde telakki eden bir anla-yış ve kutsiyete sahipti. Biz de bu çalışmamızda Türklerde gök ile ilgili inanışların tespiti üzerinde durduk.

Belıefs Related Wıth the Sky ın the Turkısh Culture The Turks have in their history presumed the “ sky cult” holy because it symbolized love, eternity, infinity, grandeur, and the Tengri ( God). The most important reason why the sky was presumed holy in the conventional Turkish religion was that, they believed that the god was at the highest stage of the sky, and that the sun, moon, and the stars that expulsed the darkness which was assumed as the mother of evil, were rendering under his tent. This conception was so strong that, the Sky God was the “ Sky Soul” and was a very divine being. In this study we researched on the beliefs of the sky among Turks and we pointed it.
