Abstract
Hz. Peygamber, hayatının sonlarında Veda Haccında Arafat meydanında insanlara bir hutbe irad etmiştir. Bu hutbede bütün insanlığa önemli evrensel ilkeler sunmuştur. Bu ilkeler, âdeta “insan hakları evrensel beyannamesi” niteliğini taşımaktadır. Allah Resulünün 1400 küsur yıl önce beyan ettiği bu değerlere Batı Dünyası ancak 1948 yılında yayınlanan “İnsan Hakları Evrensel Bildirgesi” ile yeni ulaşabilmiştir. Hz. Peygamber’in insanlığa sunmuş olduğu bu ilkelerin iyi anlaşılması ve harfiyen uygulanması hayati önem arz etmektedir. Zira insanlığın huzur ve mutluluğu bu ilkelerin uygulanmasına bağlıdır.

Abstract
The Prophet, in the Farewell Pilgrimage at the end of his life, introduced a sermon to the people. He provided important universal principles in this sermon to all mankind. These principles are seen as “universal declaration of human rights.” The western world could reach these principles which were declared approximately 1400 years ago by the messenger of Allah, with the Universal Declaration of human rights published in 1948. The understanding and implementation of these principles that were offered to humanity by the Prophet is of vital importance. Because the peace and happiness of mankind depends on the implementation of these principles.
