Abstract
Kısaca “rıhle” denen hadis yolculukları Hicri ilk üç asrın en maruf ve meşhur bilimsel faaliyetlerinden olmuştur. Bu yolculuklar sonucunda İslam Dünyasına dağılmış bulunan hadis malzemesi hadis kitaplarında toplanmıştır. Bu faaliyetler sayesinde bölgeler arasında ciddi kültürel alışverişler yapılmış, Sünnetle kurulmuş temel İslam kültürü tüm Müslüman bölgelere yayılarak Müslüman kimliğini oluşturmuştur. Bu ve saha birçok sebepten bu faaliyetleri her dönemde yeniden okumak ve değerlendirmek gereklidir ve bu çalışmanın temelini de bu çaba oluşturmaktadır.

Abstract
The hadith journeys which in short is called “Rihla”has become one of the most well known and famous scientific activities during the first three centuries after Higrah, from the Muslim point of view. As a result of these journeys the hadith material which were scattered throughout the Islamic World were collected in hadith books .then compiled and classified thus leading to the golden age in the third century after Higrah. Thanks to these activities important cultural exchanges were made between various regions and Islamic culture which was based on Sunnah (practices and rules derived from the Prophet’s way of life and teachings) was spread to all Muslim regions forming the Muslim identity. Because of this and many other reasons it is vital to re-read and evaluate these activities once more at every age. This present study is the fruit of such consideration.
